Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and assist licensed practitioners with diagnostic imaging under approved supervision.

You will ensure patient identification and safety, apply ALARA protocols, prepare and administer medications when required, and support interventional MRI procedures.

Required: ARRT or NMTCB with ARMRIT, and radiologic technology training; Bachelor's degree preferred; and a commitment to patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB with ARMRIT required on hire.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification and proper exam prep with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize safety and care quality.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality and verify archival storage/post-processing where applicable.
• Educate and supervise students and other health care staff.
