Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare and position patients, and manage imaging parameters and QA under supervision. The role supports clinical and research imaging within the Mass General Brigham system.

Expected duties include safety instruction, cross-team collaboration, and occasional overnight or holiday coverage as needed. A certificate/diploma in medical imaging is required with MR-specific certification within 12 months, plus

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging required.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies safely using MRI equipment.
• Prepare patients and position them for imaging and select imaging protocols.
• Acquire images, perform computer processing, and display images for clinical and research use.
• Conduct quality assurance scans and ensure patient safety per department policy.
• Instruct patients on MRI safety and assist with emergencies as needed.

Education

Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging

ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire
