Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI exams with precise positioning and protocol adherence in a 0.6 FTE role with 48 bi-weekly hours. You will ensure patient safety, screen for MRI compatibility, and support scanner operation and contrast administration.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification (or eligible) and have completed an accredited MRI program. A focus on safety, patient comfort, and ongoing credential maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a licensed Radiologic Technologist or 0+ years with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT license.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program.
• Complete required CEUs to maintain certification and licensure.
• Ages of Patients Served: adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI exams, ensuring accurate positioning and protocol compliance.
• Provide patient care consistent with MRI safety and comfort standards.
• Screen patients and staff for MRI safety in accordance with departmental policy.
• Enforces Zone safety compliance.
• Develop proficiency with MRI workflow, scanner operation, and contrast administration.
• Demonstrate and maintain competency in all assigned equipment and procedures at this level.
