Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.

Full Job Description

Description Summary: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and facilitate smooth patient flow. Flexibility to work different shifts and campuses is required. The Technologist must troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in QA, and resolve image processing and archiving system issues. Ongoing education, safety, and technical updates are expected. The Technologist will perform MRI safety screening, maintenance, repairs, and ensure compliance with imaging competencies and safety standards. Responsibilities:

• Assist radiologists and referring physicians to ensure physician satisfaction.
• Protect patient confidentiality and only disclose information as necessary for job duties.

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Perform examinations to support patient throughput within the scope of licensure and competencies.
• Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS, follow PACS downtime procedures, and escalate issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of hospital or clinical experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire.
• State licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
