Qualifications

As the MRI Technologist, you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This requires an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. You will support all imaging centers staffed by our organization, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. Your responsibilities include:
- Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of procedures performed
- Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
- Perform accurate image archival
- Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
- Sensitively handle the physical and emotional needs of the patient
Salary Range: $49.73 - $65.56 Hourly
QualificationsPlease ensure your resume and application include all relevant certifications and licenses.
- Licenses: A combination of the ARRT and CRT is required. MR certificate required.
- OR a combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) is required.
- BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Graduate from an AMA Radiologic Technologist Program is required.
- Venipuncture certificate is preferred.
- AA or BS degree is preferred.
- At least 1 year of MRI experience is preferred.
- Siemens experience is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies.
- Ability to identify contraindications for exams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and independent decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes).
- Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.
