As the MRI Technologist, you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This requires an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. You will support all imaging centers staffed by our organization, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of procedures performed
• Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
• Perform accurate image archival
• Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
• Sensitively handle the physical and emotional needs of the patient

Salary Range: $49.73 - $65.56 Hourly

Qualifications

• Licenses: A combination of the ARRT and CRT is required. MR certificate required.
• OR a combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) is required.
• BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Graduate from an AMA Radiologic Technologist Program is required.
• Venipuncture certificate is preferred.
• AA or BS degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of MRI experience is preferred.
• Siemens experience is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies.
• Ability to identify contraindications for exams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and independent decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes).
• Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.
