Job summary

Qualifications

• Required advanced MRI certification upon hire.
• Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist.
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: will not operate vehicles for a business purpose.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging exams in collaboration with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities.
• Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment and perform maintenance checks.
• Demonstrate proficiency inserting and maintaining IVs.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per CLIA regulations.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available and Par levels meet facility needs.
• Participate in QAPI activities and accreditation processes.
• Adhere to facility/department policies and procedures.
• Attend meetings and training workshops; perform related duties as assigned.

Overview

Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative.

Additional Essential Job Functions

• Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately
• Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks
• Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IV’s
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures
• Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs
• Participates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards
• Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures
• Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings,'training and development workshops
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements::Required advanced MRI certification upon hire.

Licensure/Certification/Registration::Required ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must have current BLS certification.
