Job summary

UF Health in Leesburg is seeking an MRI technologist who can work independently in the department and provide quality patient care under the supervision of the Manager and radiologists. You will respond to patient needs and support colleagues while adhering to accepted standards of practice.

Qualified candidates must graduate from an MRI accredited school or an accredited radiology program, and obtain ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification within 1 year of hire (or already hold such credentials).

Overview

Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the MRI technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice. The MRI technologist must be able to work independently in that department.

Qualifications

• Education:- Must be a graduate of an MRI accredited school or a graduate of an accredited radiology School
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:- If the individual has FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required within 1 year of hire
• If the individual does not have FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required
• BLSSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
