Job summary

UF Health is seeking a professional MRI Technologist to perform imaging exams and collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and report abnormalities promptly. You will follow imaging protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure IV access is available and functioning, while supporting CLIA-compliant lab activities and par-level stock management.

The role requires ARRT MR (or ARMRIT) certification and current BLS; prior MRI tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Required advanced MRI certification upon hire.
  • Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist.
  • Licensure: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must have current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging exams in accordance with policies and regulations and report abnormalities.
  • Follow protocols for imaging equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IVs.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per CLIA regulations.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are available for patient care and meet par levels.
  • Participate in QAPI activities and accreditation processes.
  • Adhere to facility policies and attend trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Overview
  • Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately
  • Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks
  • Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IV's
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs
  • Participates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards
  • Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures
  • Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings, training and development workshops
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: Required advanced MRI certification upon hire. Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose Licensure/Certification/Registration:: Required ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must have current BLS certification.
