Job summary

Atrium Health’s MRI department at Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist I to operate MRI scanners and related equipment. The successful candidate will ensure patient safety, verify orders with radiologists, and document imaging details according to departmental protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining medical history, and assisting physicians during invasive procedures while adhering to radiation safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment with proficiency.
• Identify patients and prepare them for procedures with explanations.
• Document and review medical history and imaging results in patient records.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with radiation protection guidelines.
