Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT and MRI training
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree preferred for MRI technologist
• Demonstrated MRI safety knowledge and compliance
• Experience with EMR and PACS documentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and ready.
• Explain MRI procedures, risks, and safety to patients.
• Position patients and optimize coils for imaging.
• Administer IV contrast per safety guidelines.
• Perform MRI scans per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond as needed.
• Maintain accurate EMR/PACS documentation and QC records.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications.
