Job summary

Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics in Nashville seeks a PRNMRI Technologist to perform advanced MRI imaging at Harding Place. You will ensure patient comfort, adhere to safety, and manage imaging workflow with PACS, contrast injections, and chart entry.

Role requires ARRT coursework and BLS certification, plus local travel. Two years MRI experience is preferred and the candidate must work in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images per physician protocol.
• Puts patients at ease and prioritizes safety.
• Prepares images/history/paperwork for radiologists via PACS and Teleradiology.
• Injects patients with contrast material.
• Stocks MRI rooms with appropriate materials.
• Completes required paperwork and computer applications.
• Ensures images meet established quality standards and enters MRI reports.

Position Goal:

Performs exceptional imaging procedures using radio frequency waves and strong magnetic fields at a high technical level.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes while taking into account each physician’s protocol.
• Puts patients at ease and keeps safety a priority. Keeps patients mentally and physically comfortable.
• Organizes and prepares images/patient history/paperwork for radiologists’ interpretation by use offax and Teleradiology via internet.
• Injects patients with contrast material.
• Stocks MRI rooms with appropriate materials.
• Completes appropriate paperwork and computer applications.
• Ensures that images meet the established quality standards.
• Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed.
• Assists with entering MRI reports into patient’s charts.

Experience:

Preferred

• Two years MRI experience

Education:

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.

Special Qualifications:

Required

• BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy
• Basic computer and administrative skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Must display excellent interpersonal skills
• This position requires local travel via personal vehicle so a valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire are required (MVR will be screened on an annual basis.)
