Job summary

Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics in Nashville seeks a Radiologic Technologist for Skyline Trauma Clinic. The role involves assisting physicians, performing high-quality radiographs, operating PACS, and ensuring patient safety.

Requires six months radiologic technologist experience, ARRT certification and Tennessee licensure (or Limited Scope), and a current BLS credential. This is a full-time position with potential for a competitive sign-on bonus and travel across Middle Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a radiologic technologist

• Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy
• Ability to work independently and HIPAA compliance
• Working knowledge of DR X-Ray equipment
• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
• Travel is required

Responsibilities

• Carries out radiology requisitions and views using radiographic technique and PACS
• Memorizes required views for each physician
• Assists patients into positions for radiographs and may lift patients
• Takes x-rays following established patient care and safety procedures
• Stocks necessary supplies
• Uses radiation protection and shielding materials
• Assists with training and supervision of student technologists
• Ensures equipment is functioning and reports malfunctions
• Imports and uploads outside CDs for the clinic

Position Goal:Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Carries out radiology requisitions and views. Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed.
• Memorizes what views each physician requires on exams.
• Assists patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient.
• Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Stocks necessary supplies.
• Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Assists with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
• Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Imports and uploads outside CDs for clinic.

Experience:Six months experience as a radiologic technologist required.
Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
• Current ARRT certification & current TN licensure (or Limited Scope License).
• BLS certification.

Special Qualifications:

• Knowledge of radiographic technique
• Knowledge of PACS
• Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
• Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
• Working knowledge of DR X-Ray equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Travel is required.
