Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time MRI technologist at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. The PRN position covers AM, PM and Overnight shifts, with a pay range of $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, post-processing, IV contrast administration and safety compliance. Requirements include ARRT or ARMRIT, 2 years radiology or MRI program graduate, CPR certification, and stroke care training.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and usual MRI procedures.
• ARRT Registry or ARMRIT.
• CPR Certification.
• MRI Certification Preferred or within 12 months of hire into position (ARRT only).

Responsibilities

• Positioning and immobilization of patients; select technical factors for optimal MRI quality.
• Post-processing of data to enhance images.
• Operate MRI equipment and related support devices (PACS, disc drives, injector).
• Transfer patients to/from MRI table and explain procedures to patients.
• Initiate IVs for contrast media per policy and ensure universal precautions.
• Archive images and follow MRI workflow with PACS networking.
• Document department records and ensure patient statistics and billing data accuracy.
• Maintain safety standards and keep equipment and procedures up-to-date.
