Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois to maintain a safe MRI environment and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment. You will ensure patient safety, produce high-quality images, and coordinate with radiologists and the care team.

The role requires ARRT (MR) registration, CPR certification, and effective communication. Monday–Friday night shifts and comprehensive benefits are included within Advocate Health’s Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of MRI technology.
• 6 months or more experience preferred.
• ARRT (MR) registered and CPR certification.
• Good communication skills and RIS operations knowledge.
• Basic computer skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe MRI environment and operate the MRI scanner and ancillary equipment.
• Produce high-quality images of identified anatomy as ordered by a physician; screen implants for safety.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and team members in daily workflows; ensure safety and quality.
• Adhere to HIPAA and protect PHI; follow infection prevention practices.
• Maintain appropriate state license and national board certifications; CPR per site protocol.
• Ensure patient safety, screen for safety concerns, and prepare patients for exams.
