Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist in State College, PA to support our outpatient imaging team. You will perform MRI scans, ensure safety, and contribute to efficient patient flow in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification (or registry-eligible), active BLS, and strong customer service skills. Travel may be involved across multiple sites as needed within the network.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT MRI certification or registry-eligible.
• BLS certification and state licensure if required.
• Strong customer service and effective communication at all levels.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications; explain procedures and address anxiety.
• Perform MRI scans per physician orders and protocols; ensure image quality.
• Maintain on-time patient flow in a tightly scheduled outpatient environment.
• Document procedures, contrast usage, and patient information; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with radiologists, patient coordinators, and referring offices; communicate clinical concerns.
