Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for a PRN position at the Los Alamitos facility. Strong MR registrations and state licensure are required, along with CPR/BLS and potential ACLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Registered by ARRT/NMTCB/ARMDS.
• MR registries required for certain oversight roles.
• ARMRIT certification accepted by customer contracts.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance (ARRT) if Medicare billing occurs.
• MR registered technologist RT (MR) ARRT or ARMRIT.
• Experience or enrollment in MRI training program (3 months supervised).
• State license; radiologic/magnetic resonance licensure as applicable.
• CPR Certification; BLS on hire with ACLS within 90 days.
• Driver's license; willingness for local travel.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
• Background check and drug screen prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and performance of high-quality MR studies on site or remote.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images and operate multiple MR systems.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR assistants.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and team members.
• Address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflicts in a clinical setting.
