Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites a motivated MRI Technologist to join our PRN team in Overland Park, Kansas. The role focuses on routine and specialized MR imaging, presenting images to Radiologists for comprehensive reports.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT registered with MR eligibility or MR certification, hold a radiology technology credential, and be capable of patient positioning and image quality assessment while adhering to radiation safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• Release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
