Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, educate patients on safety, and ensure room readiness. You will prepare and administer IV contrast, monitor patients, and maintain accurate EMR/PACS documentation.

Requirements include ARMRIT or RT(MR) certification, BLS, 1+ year radiology experience, and strong customer service. Day shift, full-time with a $10k sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• ARMRIT or RT(MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1+ years radiology experience and MRI training preferred
• Ability to communicate with diverse patients and hospital staff
• Willingness to work M-F 1330-2200 and occasional weekends/holidays
• Knowledge of MRI safety and imaging protocols
• Ability to follow department policies and procedures
• Maintain required registries and licenses

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready; equipment safety checks
• Notify when inventory is low
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and safety
• Position patients for high-quality imaging
• Prepare and administer IV contrast
• Perform daily QC checks per policy
• Follow safety protocols and obtain informed consent
• Document in EMR and PACS
• Perform MRI exams per physician orders
• Review patient history for exam appropriateness
• Screen patients and staff for MRI safety
• Operate imaging equipment and monitors; adapt protocols
• Other duties as assigned
