Job Summary
The MRI Technologist I performs procedures according to departmental protocols and standards, operating MRI scanners and associated equipment with proficiency. This includes scanner, post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and monitoring equipment.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting, moving patients, and equipment. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and bending. May be exposed to various physical conditions and radiation safety risks.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or actively enrolled in a registry-eligible program. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, with advanced registry in MRI within one year of hire. CPR certification required.
