Job summary

Atrium Health Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC is looking for an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures, operate scanners, and manage patient care with a focus on safety and quality imaging. Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program; MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with radiologist before exams.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; prepares patients and documents procedures.
• Interviews patients for medical history; reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent history.
• Performs MRI scanning from start to finish and communicates results with radiologist.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and records details.
• Maintains MRI safety standards and proper sterile technique.
• Operates radiology computer systems; documents contrast administration in MAR.
