Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA is seeking a MRI Technologist PRN to perform MRI examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to MRI safety standards.

The position involves operating MRI equipment, maintaining RIS documentation, and participating in on-call duties as required. A current ARRT license and BCLS are required, with MRI registry completion within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or diploma in Radiology Technology required.
• Current ARRT licensure required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• MRI Registry within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations and related procedures under Radiologist and MRI Supervisor guidance.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and maintain MRI safety standards.
• Establish professional relationships with staff and medical personnel to ensure patient care quality.
• Document exam results in the Radiology RIS system after completion of exams.
• Call or fax preliminary results per hospital policy and maintain “Read Back and Verified.” policy.
• Monitor supply levels and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Participate in on-call schedule as required by the department.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs MRI examinations and special procedures under the guidance and direction of the Radiologist and MRI Supervisor. Operates equipment safely, maintains MRI safety standards, as well as all Regulatory Agencies and ACR standards. Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and the medical staff. The employee provides consistent quality patient care during the patients visit to the Radiology Department.

• Obtaining required consents per hospital policy
• MRI Contrast Media Safety/Power Injector Safety
• Participate in the on-call schedule by keeping a cell phone number posted
• Document in Radiology RIS system upon the completion of exams
• Call or fax preliminary "wet read" reports to appropriate locations. Uses "Read Back and Verified " policy
• Checks work areas at the beginning and end of shift for work supplies and cleanliness
• Will keep supervisor notified of supply levels and is watchful of maintaining par levels without overstocking supplies

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical School Diploma or Certificate in: - Radiology Technology required
• Current National Licensure in: - ARRT required
• BCLS required
• MRI Registry within 6 months of hire required
