Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a part-time MR Technologist to perform magnetic resonance exams and procedures under medical direction. The role supports neonate to geriatric patients, ensuring patient safety, accurate identifications, and effective communication with radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, handling emergencies, and contributing to QA activities while maintaining documentation and providing education to patients and families.

• Accredited two-year Imaging Technology program completed.
• MR experience preferred.
• Active ARRT or ARMRIT registry status required.

Job description

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Purpose: Under limited supervision, magnetic resonance exams and procedures are performed under the medical direction of the radiologist in a highly technical and professional manner.

What you will Do: Performs daily operations of MR exams and procedures on scheduled shift including emergency callback, weekends or holidays as assigned. Operates equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with patients, other staff, radiologists, students and other management. Actively listens and positively accepts change and is able to deal with stressful situations. Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems. Utilizes correct process for patient identification. Right patient, right exam, right time. Participates as directed in QA activities, maintains current relevant documentation.

Hours/Schedule: PRN - As Needed, As Available

Minimum Qualifications: Must have relevant credentials as defined below: Successful completion of an accredited two-year Imaging Technology program (ARRT) or ARMRIT certified. Previous MR experience preferred. MR credential (ARRT or AMRIT) preferred. Maintains active registry status. Completion of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandatory Reporter training specific to the population served within three (3) months of hire. Colleagues employed and working solely in facilities located in Illinois are exempt from this requirement in accordance with applicable state requirements. Maintains Basic Life Support qualification.
