Job summary

Loyola Medicine – Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, IL seeks an MRI Technologist (Registry/PRN) for part-time, rotating shifts, including Saturdays. Responsibilities include performing MRI exams, equipment operation and safety, patient preparation, and assisting radiologists with procedures. Requires AAS in Radiologic Technology, MRI certification, and CPR certification.

Salary $37.00–$59.00/hr. Location: Melrose Park, IL; On-call rotating shifts with two 7am-4pm Saturdays; benefits

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (AAS in Radiologic Technology) required.
• MRI Technologist Certification required (ARRT MRI or ARMRIT).
• AHA CPR Certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to established protocols, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Operate MRI equipment safely; troubleshoot basic issues and maintain readiness of imaging systems.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and procedure trays to support efficient workflow.
• Assist radiologists with special procedures and administer contrast media per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized rooms; ensure proper stocking of supplies and quick room turnover.
• Promote a safe environment for patients and staff through proper screening and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
