AdventHealth in Calhoun, GA is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and deliver compassionate care. You will position patients, monitor contrast administration, and adhere to imaging protocols across age groups.

Qualified candidates typically hold an Associate degree with high school diploma, 1+ year radiology experience, and ARRT MR certification or equivalent. This role features a day-shift, PRN schedule at our Calhoun facility.

• Follows protocols for patient identification, consent, and time-out procedures before exams.
• Performs high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors and monitors; adapt protocols for patients of all ages.

Job Description

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of MRI procedures [Required]
• Knowledge of MRI scanners [Required]
• Ability to work flexibly in variable shifts, occasionally including weekends or holidays [Required]
• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]
• Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required]

Education

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Pay Range

$30.45 - $56.64
