Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs MRI exams, demonstrating proficiency and safety in MRI imaging and accessories, collaborating with physicians to impact patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing MRI exams efficiently on various body parts.
• Completing pre-exam screening, patient interaction, history taking, and supply management.
• Verifying doctor’s orders, charting, starting/removing IVs, administering contrast media.
• Transporting patients, organizing exams, and communicating effectively with staff and patients.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiography program.
• RT and MR certification from ARRT.
• At least 1 year of radiology tech experience and 2 years of MRI experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• MRI certification within 60 months of employment.
• Relevant certifications such as CV Tech, NMT, or Registered Radiographer.
