Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to independently perform MRI scans, analyze data for diagnosis, and assist licensed practitioners. The role emphasizes patient safety, protocol adherence, and post-processing as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold ARRT or equivalent certification, have MRI safety knowledge, and completed specialty radiologic training with a preferred bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Certification with ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent required; new grads must obtain certification before employment.
• Experience in radiologic technology and MRI safety knowledge.
• Completion of a specialty training program in radiologic technology; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct order, verify patient identity, and prepare for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, adhering to regulations.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage or transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks and assist with interventional procedures.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs.
