AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS seeks an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. You will ensure patient comfort, prep exam rooms, and perform high-quality MR imaging with proper safety protocols.

The role requires licenses and certifications, including BLS/CPR and ARRT MRI, and involves educating patients about MRI procedures and contrast safety. Day shift, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required).
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body.
• Licensed Radiology Technologist - Kansas KS Board of Healing Arts.
• Registered Technologist - MRI (R.T.(MR)ARRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using immobilization and coil placement techniques for high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material per safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
