Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations, prepare patients, and ensure safety in the magnetic environment. You will operate advanced MRI equipment and capture detailed anatomical images for accurate diagnosis.

The role requires strong MRI proficiency, attention to image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to provide a comfortable diagnostic experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Associate’s Degree in Healthcare field or Imaging Studies (preferred)
  • Registered ARRT (R) at time of hire, then maintain (required)
  • ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) at time of hire or within 9 months (required)
  • Texas MRT license within 9 months (required)
  • BLS certification by American Heart Association (required)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for scans and operate MRI equipment.
  • Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment.
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
  • Maintain logs and perform quality checks.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure understanding.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and comfort during exams.
  • Review physician orders and select appropriate MRI settings.
  • Complete exams per departmental protocols and document findings.
