Job summary

UC Health is seeking a full-time Registered MRI Technologist for the Radiology Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The technologist will support the department by performing MRI procedures, reviewing patient histories, and ensuring safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate must complete a JRCERT-approved program and be registered with ARRT; 1 year of experience is preferred. Strong communication skills and current CPR/BLS certifications are also essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate degree in a related field.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Registration by ARRT or equivalent certifications required; ARRT-MR licensure is a must.
• Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, responding to varying needs.
• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and explain procedures to patients.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and assess films for diagnostic acceptability.
• Review and administer medications per physician direction.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications intravenously.
• Administer CPR and emergency procedures as needed.
• Maintain records and supplies, participate in quality control.
