Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Morristown, New Jersey is seeking a technologist responsible for creating cross-sectional images of patients using MRI equipment. You will position patients, ensure safety, and enter necessary data for procedures. A radiology degree and state licensing are required for this role, which offers comprehensive medical benefits and professional advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• A valid state RT license for ARRT candidates or MR certification is required.
• Must have an Associate's degree in Radiology or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Must hold Board-Level Basic Life Support certification from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on the exam table and place specified coil close to the area of interest.
• Demonstrate the use of a microphone to allow communication with patients.
• Enter necessary data into the computer for the MRI scan.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during the examination.
• Ensure image quality by viewing images on the display screen.
• Alert staff of the danger of carrying metal into the magnet room.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

Associate’s degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited radiology program

State RT license for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP, or MR certification through ARMRIT

Board-Level Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA
