Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a capable MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, produce high‑quality images, and maintain excellent patient care across age groups. The role includes magnet safety screening of patients and staff entering zones 3 and 4, as well as timely communication with radiologists.

Minimum qualifications include completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT/ARMRIT or equivalent certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to screen patients and manage MR safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures proficiently with proper positioning and coils according to protocols.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and review MR safety questionnaires and history.
• Prepare scan room, maintain supplies, and manage cleanliness.
• Prepare and administer contrast within scope of practice as directed.
• Implement emergency procedures when needed.
• Enter and record data accurately in department systems.
• Conduct quality control tasks to ensure standards are met.
• Stay updated on department changes and provide clinical instruction as needed.
