Memorial Healthcare is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with department standards in Hollywood, FL.
You will review orders and patient history, educate patients, ensure MRI safety, and perform exams with attention to image quality and patient comfort. On-call duties and strict adherence to ARRT and hospital policies are required.

Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy.Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols.Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Required Work Experience: No previous experience required Other Information: Must be registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registered as a Technologist (ARMRIT)- Advance Registry MRI Technology within one calendar year of hire.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited imaging program.
