Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a hospital-based imaging program (MRI, Radiography, Nuclear Medicine).
• 1–2 years hospital experience preferred but not required.
• Current ARRT (RT-MR) or ARMRIT (RT-MR) registration; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to departmental policies; maintains HIPAA confidentiality and safety.
• Ensures patient, staff, and environment safety; follows MRI safety procedures.
• Screen patients entering the MRI room for safety contraindications.
• Meets regulatory and QA/QI requirements; participates in quality activities.
• Communicates with patients compassionately; assists with patient flow and EMR use.
• Performs MRI procedures, establishes IV access, and assists radiologists as directed.
