Job summary

UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a per diem MRI Technologist to operate the GE SIGNA Artist 1.5T and provide high-quality imaging with feet-first protocols to reduce claustrophobia.

You will work with a warm, empowered team and participate in CARES values; pay range $39.60-$50.60 per hour, on-call responsibilities, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. degree required.
• Current, valid AART required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging independently required.
• On-Call Responsibilities required.
• Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire.
• MR I Registry required within 1 year of hire.
• B.S. degree preferred.

Schedule: Per Diem, varying hours.

Pay Range: $39.60 - $50.60, based on experience.

Required Job Specific Competencies:

• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with fellow MRI and DI staff.
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives and lives the CARES values at all times.
• Demonstrates thorough understanding of MRI safety regulations for established MRI protocols.

Requirements

• A.A.S. degree required
