Job summary

UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking an MRI technologist to provide high-quality imaging with minimal supervision in a per diem, varied-hours schedule on site. The role requires ARRT (AART) certification, MRI independence, and on-call duties.

The candidate should have an A.A.S. degree (B.S. preferred) and be prepared to maintain patient confidentiality and collaborate with MRI/DI staff to support Thompson Health's CARES values and high-quality care standards.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. degree is required.
• Current, valid ARRT (AART) certification required.
• Ability to perform MRI independently.
• On-Call responsibilities required.
• Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire.
• MRI Registry required within 1 year of hire.

• Schedule: Per Diem, varying hours.

Main Function

• Provides high-quality test results with a minimum of supervision.
• Coordinates these services within & outside Thompson Health to meet & exceed needs & expectations of our customers.
• Actively supports the mission, goals, and objectives of UR Medicine Thompson Health.

Required Job Specific Competencies

• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with fellow MRI and DI staff.
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives and lives the CARES values at all times.
• Demonstrates thorough understanding of MRI safety regulations for established MRI protocols.
