RWJBarnabas Health in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist to join our MRI department. The role involves performing diagnostic MRI scans, maintaining patient comfort and safety, and ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited radiologic or MRI program, licensed in NJ (or ARMRIT with ARRT) and current BLS certification. This per diem position offers day shifts and exposure to a collaborative, quality-focused imaging team.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or accredited school of MRI technology.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey or ARMRIT accepted in conjunction with ARRT.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association.

• Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area
• Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information

• Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist

A typical day for a MRI Technician may include:

• Assists Physicians as needed
• Assists in the orientation of new staff and/or students
• Competent in the use of RIS & PACS system, and other IT programs utilized.
• Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area.
• Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information.
• Performs all standard techniques for procedure protocols
• Recognizes the significant of all structures visualized and is able to differentiate normal from abnormal and recognizes artifacts. Understands when to seek advice
• Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist
• May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
