Job summary

OrthoNY in Malta, NY is seeking an MRI Technologist to join a collaborative team. You will operate MRI systems, prepare patients, document history, and ensure safety and comfort throughout procedures.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification or willingness to obtain within 24 months, NY licensure, strong communication, and a commitment to exceptional patient care; travel to other OrthoNY locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Must hold unrestricted NYS licensure and ARRT certification.
• Must have ARRT MRI certification or be willing to complete MRI certification within 24 months of hire or transfer date.
• Current with continuing education requirements to maintain ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for the licensed practitioners' use.
• Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education.
• Select and operate magnetic resonance system and related equipment.
• Maintain professionalism, compassion, and a demeanor consistent with medical ethics in all patient and team interactions.
• Recognize essential conditions for successful completion of procedure.
• Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout the exam.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, providers, and support staff to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent patient outcomes.
• Support clinic operations and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
