Job summary

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver, CO is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners, interview patients, explain procedures, and position patients for exams to produce quality images for accurate diagnoses.

You will maintain safety, comfort, and documentation throughout the study. Required are ARRT MR registration, BLS verification, and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; one year MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR registry).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy.
• Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• One year of MRI Imaging Department experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARMRIT certification is recognized.

Responsibilities

• Position and prepare patients for exams according to the type of procedure.
• Perform procedures and assess patients throughout and respond to needs.
• Complete documentation for each study performed.
• Use professional discernment and critical thinking when performing procedures.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff and teach students during clinical rotations.
• Maintain knowledge of scanners and exam protocols to ensure high-quality procedures.
