Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics in Dallas, OR is seeking an MRI technologist to support the Diagnostic Imaging department. The role involves operating Siemens MRI equipment, maintaining safety, and delivering high-quality imaging for patient care.

You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, and fellow imaging staff in a 36-hour/week, full-time schedule with no on-call requirements, contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered environment with ongoing training and growth

Qualifications

  • Credentialed in radiography (ARRT).
  • Registered in MRI (ARRT) or AMRIT MRI.
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging radiography license (OBMI).

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment and perform routine care, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Use Radiant RIS, PACS and EPIC to manage patient history and imaging workflow.
  • Perform MRI exams per protocols and adapt techniques as needed.
  • Optimize imaging parameters for quality and efficiency.
  • Review exam completeness and obtain additional images or history as needed.
  • Document exam details including patient history and factors used.
  • Follow MRI safety protocols and ALARA principles.
  • Support medication reconciliation with Omnicell systems.
  • Provide age-appropriate, compassionate care to all patients.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized imaging department and assist with additional duties.
