Job summary

Radiology Associates of Hartford is seeking a qualified MRI technologist to perform scanner sequences and imaging with independent judgment. You will work with radiologists to ensure accurate, safe imaging while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, proper protocol application, and coordination with staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic images in a professional environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred (outpatient experience a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI imaging equipment and assist physicians and radiologists as appropriate.
  • Prepare and position patient for MRI scanning and ensure patient modesty and privacy.
  • Explain proper preparation and scanning procedures to patients and verify relevant exam history.
  • Ensure imaging is correctly labeled with patient name, date and birth information.
  • Provide friendly, professional service to patients, staff and referring physicians.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient data.
