Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks an MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans and ensure patient-centered care. You will collaborate with radiologists to deliver precise imaging, maintain safety, and educate patients during exams.

Requirements include AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, RT(R) certification with MR preferred, and CT license. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• RT(R) required, (MR) preferred. CT State License Required.
• Proficient in routine MRI imaging techniques and cross-section anatomy.
• Good organizational and communication/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex MRI scanner equipment.
• Follow routine protocols and refer to exam requisitions to ensure correct imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients to provide emotional support and cooperation.
• Document patient information, contrast administration, and safety details.
• Keep current with new imaging protocols and techniques.
• Chaperone patients when necessary.
