Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure the safe and accurate imaging of patients. You will communicate clinical observations to radiologists and present patient history as documented for each MRI exam.

You’ll perform venipuncture for contrast, operate RIS/HIS modules, and contribute to QA/PI programs while maintaining data quality and patient safety before sending images to PACS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT or ARMRIT registry eligible.
• Advanced MRI registry required within 1 year of hire.
• Two years of staff technologist experience preferred; 1 year MRI technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical continuity of care for MRI patients.
• Communicate clinical observations to radiologists; present patient history.
• Demonstrate venipuncture competence for contrast administration.
• Maintain knowledge of RIS/HIS modules relevant to duties.
• Assist in data collection for Radiology QA/PI program.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to ensure data availability for patients.
• PQC: participate in ongoing professional development and education.
• Provide patient education about the exam and process.
• Verify patient identity and accuracy of MR-related data before sending to PACS.
• Review patient safety checklist prior to each MRI study.
• Help department achieve Press Ganey goals and patient satisfaction.
