Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks an MRI technologist to ensure quality imaging and patient safety. You will communicate findings to radiologists, perform venipuncture for contrast, and participate in QA activities and continuing education.

The role requires ARRT-recognized education, an MRI registry within 1 year, and BLS certification within 3 months of hire. This is a full-time, on-site position within Radiology.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT/ARMRIT registry eligible.
• Advanced MRI registry required within 1 year of hire.
• Two years of experience as a staff technologist preferred; 1-year MRI technologist experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful technical continuity of care for patients receiving MRI studies.
• Communicates to radiologists clinical observations made during MRI examination and presents clinical history.
• Demonstrates competency in venipuncture for contrast administration.
• Maintains knowledge of RIS/HIS modules relevant to job responsibilities.
• Assists in data gathering and serves on Radiology QA/PI committees.
• Adheres to downtime procedures to ensure information continuity.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Provides patient education regarding their examination.
• Ensures accuracy of images and patient data sent to PACS.
• Reviews patient safety checklist prior to study.
• Supports department goals and patient experience initiatives.
