Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners, communicate procedures to patients, and ensure safety and quality in imaging. You will be responsible for patient care during the MRI process, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining equipment readiness.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Radiography or MRI, CPR certification, and ARRT MRI registration within 6 months, with 1–2 years MRI or radiography experience.

Qualifications

• Requires registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiographer or MRI.
• Familiarity with MRI equipment and anatomy.
• Basic nursing skills and sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners to create diagnostic images.
• Explains the steps of the MRI procedure to the patient and assumes care for needs of patients.
• Maintains safety and clean, well‑functioning equipment.
• Administers contrast per protocol and safety guidelines.
• Enters accurate exam data into Radiology Information System and ensures images are read.
• Participates in on‑call coverage as needed.
