Job summary

Temple Health is recruiting an MRI technologist to perform MRI studies according to radiologist protocols. You will operate the MRI scanner to obtain high-quality images, prepare the scan room and equipment, and position patients and coils as required.

Strong communication with patients during the procedure is essential. ARRT MR certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire; an AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate required/preferred.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists. Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality. Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate. Positions patient, coils and equipment as required. Maintains communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure. American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Non Degree Program from a approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program. Required

Experience

• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required
• 1 year experience in CT or MRI Preferred

Licenses

• Reg Technologist (R) Required
• Reg Technologist (MR) Required
• Basic Life Support Required
