Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform quality mammography procedures and assist Radiologists in special procedures for the early detection of breast abnormalities.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, MQSA compliance, current BLS, ARRT(R) (or ARMRIT), Texas DSHS certification, and 1 year of experience; ARRT(M) license to be obtained within 1 year of orientation.

Qualifications

• MUST meet MQSA guidelines and graduate from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Maintain ARRT (R) certification; ARMRIT acceptable per requirements.
• Texas Department of State Health Services certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in the field.
• ARRT (R); ARRT (M) license must be obtained within 1 year of orientation.

Your Job: In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the Mammography Technologist position is to perform quality mammography procedures and assist Radiologist in special procedures for the purpose and early detection of breast abnormalities.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program and meets the MQSA guidelines
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification - ARRT (M) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (M) license within 1 year of completing orientation.
