Rhode Island Medical Imaging is currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus!*

Summary

This position is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-9 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am - 5 pm in Providence, with every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am - 4 pm in Pawtucket.

Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and according to established policies and procedures, this individual will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans, ensuring proper quality control, and providing films of high diagnostic quality tailored to each case. The role involves interacting effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians, staff, and colleagues, while maintaining optimal patient flow and throughput.

Job Requirements
  1. Physical dexterity and strength to operate MRI equipment, properly position patients, and handle films and files.
  2. Conceptual ability to determine appropriate studies based on case specifics.
  3. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, staff, and vendors, especially under stressful conditions.
  4. Organizational skills relevant to the position.
  5. Analytical skills for data compilation and interpretation.
  6. Knowledge and skills necessary for proper patient care.
  7. Skills to perform exams as per governing bodies and RIMI protocols.
  8. Bi-lingual skills (Spanish/Portuguese) are preferred but not required.
Education/Certifications

Must be ARRT registered with MR certification. IV experience is required.

Physical Demands
  1. Ability to walk and stand intermittently throughout the day.
  2. Lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  3. Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  4. Crouch, reach, and lift for equipment manipulation and positioning.
  5. Exposure to high magnetic fields; physical conditions aggravated by magnetic fields, noise, or RF exposure are contraindicated.
  6. Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4.
