Job summary

Novant Health in Huntersville, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist for Outpatient Imaging. You will assist physicians, prepare patients, and safely operate MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The role requires ARRT MR certification or ARRT radiography plus MR program, 1 year MR experience preferred, and valid state licensure. This PRN position offers day-one benefits, flexible scheduling, tuition support, and a strong team committed to quality care.

Qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Minimum of one year MR experience, preferred.
• Minimum of one year MR experience, required.
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
• Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
• Applicable state license, required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The MR Technologist will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in MR, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
