Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRCERT accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
• No experience required; radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs; MRI degree for non-radiology techs or AMRIT registry.
• ARRT registered or eligible required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all MRI procedures and maintains proficiency with MRI equipment.
• Safely operates scanner and injector to produce diagnostic MR images.
• Under radiologist direction, delivers high-quality images and safe patient care.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff orientation.
• May perform venipuncture for appropriate exams and transport non-narcotic medications as directed.
