Responsibilities

1. Perform all body imaging and diagnostic procedures involved in MRI.
2. Assist with equipment calibration and quality control procedures.
3. Position and transfer patients safely and efficiently.
4. Assist radiologists with complex procedures.
5. Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
6. Support all imaging modalities in radiology.
7. Administer radiographic contrast as per physician request and departmental policies.
8. Prepare for IV insertions for scan procedures, including aseptic technique.
9. Report to the Lead CT/MRI Technologist or Operations Manager/Director.
10. Adhere to safety protocols, including exposure risks and infection control.

Minimum Requirements

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification required within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English.
